Teachers and students gathered on Risman Plaza Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015.

Professors held signs to protest current contracts and call attention to faculty needs, and Black United Students met in front of the fountain to advocate for equality.

One group of students in support of both equality and the professors say these moments are when students should come together to support each other because they can make change as a team.

The students led a march from Risman into the Student Center, chanting “Students united can never be defeated.” Upon returning to Risman, the students held a moment of silence before disbanding.
