How many representatives does Ohio have in the House of Representatives? What are the important issues on the ballot this year? Who do they even elect in yearly elections? These are probably just a few of the many things you don’t know about politics. We got a list here to help you out if you ever want to impress someone at a dinner party.
-The 2011 election will have issues on the ballot. There are 1,734 different local issues.
-There are three big statewide issues.
1-Increases the maximum age at which someone can be elected a judge.
2-Aims to reform government employment practices.
3-Aims for health care freedom in which you choose your doctor and health insurance.
-3,956,028 people voted in the 2010 election in Ohio.
-Whereas, 5,773,387 voted in the 2008 presidential election.
-Ohio has 18 representatives in the House of Representatives and two Senators in the Senate.
-The Ohio governor is elected every four years.
-All states have a House of Representatives just for the state only. Ohio has 99 representatives. There is also a state Senate, in Ohio it has 33 members.
