Addicting games

There are many smart phones and applications that can be downloaded onto one’s phone once. The sensation of these games spreads so fast that people probably don’t know that they’re obsessed with the games.
However, you can become addicted to video games.
According to Video-Game-Addiction.org, being addicted to video games is classified as a mental illness even though the American Mental Association does not recognize it as a “diagnosable disorder”(Video-Game-Addiction.org).
Although playing video games tends to relieve stress or allow students to take a break from school work, it can still keep them from doing work when they need to.
On the website there are tabs on recognizing video game addiction in teens and adults. There is even a number to call if someone needs to go to a treatment program.
In our generation we are able to access these games on our phone and play them whenever, like Words With Friends and recently Temple Run.
Under the iTunes Application tab there is a list of the top download games, the ones that are paid and the free games.
In the top for paid section are Angry Birds (8), Words With Friends (10) and Fruit Ninja (7).
In the free box, Temple Run is number 5.
You can see people play these games and even other games that are not for the iTouch, iPhone or Android for hours at a time.
The generation of technology grew up on things like this, and the next generation will be even more addicted to what is on a LCD or HD screen.
