A band to know: Walk the Moon

At FlashFest, where students gathered to see bands play with no care to them, there was a band that stood out.
Walk the Moon should currently be on everyone’s iPod or MP3 after their performance. Before they got on stage to perform, the lead singer, Nicholas Petricca came out to the crowd and finger-painted the audience's faces.
After everything was in order with the band’s microphones, the band began an amazing performance.
Keyboards, drums, guitar and bass all sounded great next to their harmonious voices. "Tightrope” and "Anna Sun” were a couple of the songs that they played.
The crowd loved them so much they chanted “one more song” when their set list was cut short. Unfortunately, they could not play another song, so the audience expressed their dislike once Walk the Moon had to pack up.
The band was formed in January 2008 in Cincinnati, Ohio. After doing some research, the band draws inspiration the Killers and the Police. The band has also had several features in major magazines like Nylon and Spin Magazine.
They are going on the Naked Feet Tour during the summer. The band has also been featured on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Last Call with Carson Daly. “i want! i want!” is their self-produced album, an EP that is available on iTunes. A self-titled album will be released on June 19.
