Madeline Sugg, who goes by Maggie (don’t ask why), is a sophomore digital media production major with double minors in english and writing. She is a video and audio reporter at The Burr and her first duty of business is to go to the Soulja Boy and Chris Brown fight in March to film it. Okay, maybe that is not her first order of business, or maybe not her order at all, but she believes Soulja Boy is a song bird of the millennial generation so she wants to make it happen. When Maggie isn’t cheating at Scrabble or having a midlife crisis (she has a lot of those), she enjoys listening to music, eating scrambled eggs, hanging out with her friends and watching “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” when her friends are mad at her for cheating at Scrabble (they are bitter she is so good at it). When Maggie graduates college she hopes to work in the film industry, hopefully just following around Bill Murray with a camera or to teach at the college level for english or creative writing, hopefully before her student loans destroy her.

Yishan Li is a senior studying digital media production. After finishing her first and second year in broadcast and television journalism, Yishan transferred to Kent State to continue pursuing her media production study. The experience of living in China and Singapore gives her more access to classical oriental cultures. Studying at Kent State for years makes her more open-minded and familiar with American culture. Yishan strives to put different elements from different cultures in her work in order to show diversity. Not only does she work on media production, she also focuses on fashion trends. She believes life is too short to wear boring clothes.
