KATHRYN IS KATIE
Welcome, fellow human being, to being human. Have you ever been told that it’s the little things in life that matter most? This blog is about a whole lot of small making up a whole lot of big. When the lavender-chamomile bubble-bath just wasn’t enough to sooth you after a hard day of clinicals, seminars, or scanning groceries at your part-time job, read up on what I have to say about life’s little glitches that explain what it means to be human.
NO COASTS
What is the Midwest? What is the Rust Belt? Are we unending acres of farms or are we compressed city blocks? Are we proud and strong or are we humble? Who lives here? Are we white or black, are there immigrants? Are we punks? Are we union workers? Are we both? Are we contaminated drinking water in Flint or pristine wildlife in Northern Minnesota’s Boundary Waters? Are we racist? Are we inclusive? In a region so sprawling, how do we view ourselves, and what do we make of those who examine us? No Coast aims to take a look at all things that make the Midwest what it is, through the lenses of Midwestern folks.

CAELIN'S CANVASS
can·vass
/ˈkanvəs/
noun
an act or process of attempting to secure votes or ascertain opinions.
Washington D.C. is an interesting place. Can we trust our politicians and elected officials? What is “the establishment”? How is this “transition of power” going? Just your not-so-average Millennial’s right of center opinions on current happenings in D.C. I may be small but I am full of brutal honesty– this will not be sugar coated. The Republican party is not just for old white guys; hear me out and listen to my perspective. Despite what you may feel about me after reading the dreaded R word (Republican), I am not a racist, sexist, homophobic monster. I love my country and I love the people within it. Challenging the mainstream media one blog post at a time, this is Caelin’s Canvass.
