Zodiac Signs And What They Represent

Zodiac+Signs+And+What+They+Represent

This week, let’s start with the fact that there’s a full moon in the sign of Pisces on the 13. Since the new moon is a great time to come up with new ideas and Pisces is the sign of the dreamer, this gives a great opportunity to dream of new goals. This is very fitting of what Pisces sun season is all about, and since the sun and the moon will be in Pisces, the energy is at a high.

As said previously, taking this time to journal, meditate and think about what you want in the upcoming months stays a theme throughout the next few weeks as the moon moves into Pisces. Another theme that is common with Pisces is sensitivity and intuitive thinking. We may be extra intuitive with our feelings, which gives us room to think about what we really want.

Now, let’s talk about the zodiac signs! Understanding the signs can seem a little confusing, but there’s sort of a system to it that makes it a lot easier. We’ll dive into each element, and then get more into depth of what the signs themselves actually mean. The four elements are fire, earth, water and air.

Fire Signs

These signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Fire signs tend to be hot headed, passionate, very energetic and active. Although these signs fall under the same element, there are differences within each sign to take note of.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries is the sign of the ram. Aries tends to be dynamic, loud, aggressive and optimistic, just to mention a few traits. This sign tackles things very head-on and doesn’t like to wait around to get things done. They are definitely not procrastinators and can be some of the most courageous people.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Leo is the sign of the lion. When I think of Leo, I tend to think of royalty. The fact that Leo is the sign of the lion is fitting since these animals are the king of the jungle. This sign loves to be the center of attention and is very passionate. A lot of people who have Leo in their chart also tend to be in theater.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Sagittarius is the sign of the centaur. Sagittariuses are very free-spirited and alway down for the next adventure. They are flexible and always looking for new opportunities while also always having enough energy to do these things. This sign is associated with expansion and philosophy, and since this is an adventurous sign, it is fitting that they sometimes look for the deeper meaning of life through experiences.

Earth Signs

These signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. These are the hard workers and the more grounded zodiac signs. They have two feet on the ground and think in a very logical way.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Taurus is the sign of the bull. This sign loves to be safe. They enjoy the comfort of their own home and can actually be very stubborn. This sign is also reliable, responsible and extremely devoted when it comes to their goals.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Virgo is the sign of the maiden. Virgo is a sign that focuses on details and is the definition of a perfectionist. They love planning and always want to make sure everything is orderly. Without order, Virgos can get stressed out and feel like their world is crumbling.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Capricorn is the sign of the goat. Capricorns can seem a little cold, and although this may just be because they are introverted, it also could be because they are extremely focused on their goals. Capricorns also have a no tolerance outlook on life. They focus on their goals intensely and are very practical.

Water Signs

Water signs feel things deeply and are very intuitive. These signs are sensitive and focus on emotion more than any other element. They are natural-born romantics and can be some of the best listeners.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Cancer is the sign of the crab. Cancers are extreme homebodies. They have a very nurturing element to them and can be some of the best listeners. They are emotional, soft and can actually be a little moody. This sign is also a great creator.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Scorpio is the sign of the scorpion. This is definitely an intense sign, and although Scorpios feel things deeply, they are the most fierce amongst the water signs. Scorpios are passionate and driven, while also being deep and intuitive. They are the sign of death, rebirth and transformation and have a dominant personality.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Pisces is the sign of the fish. Pisces are natural romantics, and since they are the last of the zodiac signs, they relate a lot to existentialism and spirituality. Pisces are very into the arts and can be sensitive and highly intuitive. These signs also tend to be a little naive, which can be a downfall.

Air Signs

Air signs are adaptable and are great talkers. They are charismatic and just like the wind, they flow from place to place and tend to get bored easily. They are great thinkers and are always coming up with new, creative ideas.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Gemini is the sign of the twins. They’re represented by the twins, because they are great at adapting. Gemini’s are quick-witted, great in social situations and tend to be fickle.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Libra is the sign of the scales. This sign is social, whimsical and bubbly. They always like looking at both sides of things and seeing things from different perspectives. They are highly understanding and great communicators.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Aquarius is the sign of the water bearer. These are the humanitarians of the zodiac signs.

This sign can be a bit emotionally detached, but they love helping people. They also tend to be a bit different than everyone else, always marching to the beat of their own drum, whilst being a tad rebellious.

If you want to go a bit more into depth about each sign, here is a link that can help you understand each sign in its entirety. If you found that your astrological sun sign doesn’t really relate to you, keep in mind that you have a whole birth chart which may help it make more sense!
